A Rainy Day

Sweet smell gives the clay
And grass dance with gay;
I'm happy and are all they
At the happy come of Rainy Day.

     Attracts me the water of bay
     And calls me the cause way;
     At the happy come of Rainy Day.

Sweet-message mounds convey
And clouds bring it to say
At the happy come of Rainy Day.

     In the home, how can I stay?
     While streams call me to play.
     At the happy come of Rainy Day.

Water points on the grass -
are shining like sun-ray.
And they encourage me -
to go out right away.
At the happy come of Rainy Day.

     To steal joy - that I may
     With a great faith oft' I pray :
     For many many happy returns
     of such a Rainy Day.
